Venture Technology Associate Attorney
Location: New York, NY

Direct Counsel is seeking a Venture Technology Associate with 3โ€“5 years of experience to join a top Am Law firm's rapidly growing Global Venture Technology practice in New York. This role focuses on venture capital, emerging company transactions, and strategic client counseling within a collaborative, innovative team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Counsel venture capital firms and emerging companies on day-to-day legal matters.

  • Lead transactional work, including venture financings, exits, and working capital arrangements.

  • Represent the interests of venture firms and other sources of capital in transactions.

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and the broader venture ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with a close-knit team of lawyers on innovative and market-facing initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 3โ€“5 years of legal experience, preferably with exposure to competitive tech-focused firms.

  • Excellent academic credentials.
