We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to provide administrative and project support in a technical environment. Responsibilities include managing documentation, coordinating schedules, tracking project activities, maintaining accurate records, and supporting operational processes. The ideal candidate is proficient with office software, communicates effectively, and can manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Under general supervision of the Senior Coordinator, Communications - Tactical/Emergency Communications, the incumbent provides administrative and operational support for the agency's information technology (IT), telecommunications, and emergency communications equipment programs. The Information Technology Associate assists with coordination, tracking, maintenance, inventory control, and support of computer systems, telecommunications equipment, and related technology resources.
Responsibilities may include responding to customer and staff requests; coordinating equipment setup, deployment, and distribution; maintaining records, inventories, and databases; preparing reports and documentation; utilizing manuals, online resources, and technical support services; and communicating with vendors, technical support personnel, and internal staff to assist in resolving technology-related issues.
In support of emergency operations, the incumbent may assist with the preparation, deployment, and support of hardware and software at remote locations and operational assignments.

Working Conditions
In Office: This position supports and manages the day-to-day business operations for Cal OES which is handled in an office location. This is not considered a hybrid telework position.

The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is an emergency response, homeland security, and disaster recovery agency and as a result, is a dynamic and exciting place to work in a team-oriented environment. The Public Safety Communications (PSC) Technical Services Branch provides a variety of services to PSC and the public safety agencies it serves. The Branch oversees the California Public Safety Microwave Network (CAPSNET), licensing of public safety radio spectrum with the FCC, and a host of ancillary services that support PSC's service delivery.
In the event of an emergency, employees may be contacted and requested to report to work in the event of an emergency. This contact may be outside of your normal working hours (evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays). This service may require irregular work hours, work locations other than the official duty location, and may include duties other than those specified in your official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and you may be required to relocate to emergency sites.
