IT Support Technician (Part-time)


Job description:

We are an IT support firm seeking an IT support technician to work part-time (2 days/16hrs a week) in Huntington Beach.

Responsibilities will include:

*Administration and troubleshooting of Windows-based devices
*Administration of Microsoft 365 / Office 365
*Administration of a Google-based environment including Google Workspace and Chromebooks
*Administration of Apple MAC and iOS devices
*Be able to provide training/assistance for end users
*Be able to manage user accounts and policies across multiple systems (Entra AD, Google Workspace, LoB-specific)
*Managing and responding to tickets via ZenDesk

More about the job:
This job is located onsite at our clients office in Huntington. The client is a public charter school serving grades TK-8. You will join a team of IT professionals responsible for the client’s entire technology department. The schedule consists of two 8-hour days, totaling 16 hours per week. For example, the shift could be Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. This position reports to a remote manager. Please note that there is potential for additional hours during the initial training period.


Qualifications:

- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent people skills are our top priority. You must be able to communicate clearly and professionally.

- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a helpdesk support role.

- Professional Presence: You will represent our company on-site with our client daily, so a professional appearance and the ability to speak and write concisely are essential.

- Initiative: We are looking for a self-starter who can manage a task list independently and identify necessary work items.

- Multitasking: You must be comfortable managing multiple tickets and projects simultaneously and switching tasks as needed.

- Requirements: As this role involves working within an organization that serves children, a clean criminal record (no DUIs, misdemeanors, or exceptions) and the ability to pass a background check are mandatory. You may also occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in an educational environment.

- Industry-standard IT certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, or Microsoft-based certifications).
