Nuclear Medicine Technician (Med Tech)

This is a part-time position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, this position operates all nuclear equipment leading to the diagnosis of designated portions of the body as ordered by physician. The technologist then instructs the patient of all nuclear medicine procedures, protocols, as well as preps. The technologist is responsible for proper computer operation and computer knowledge, use of gamma and SPEC T software, and provides the best patient care possible to enhance quality and professionalism in their tasks.

About Corona Regional Medical Center: The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. Position Requirements

Certification by the California Department of Health Services and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT and CRT) required. Certificate of Nuclear Medicine Technologists required. Current BLS (CPR) certificate required. One (1) year experience in Nuclear Medicine required. I.V. Certification for contrast injections preferred.
