What is a tech recruiter?

A Tech Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates for technical roles such as software engineers, data scientists, and IT professionals. To thrive as a Tech Recruiter, you need a deep understanding of technical roles and hiring processes, typically supported by recruitment experience or a background in HR or IT. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, and sourcing tools is often required, and certifications like AIRS or LinkedIn Certified Professional Recruiter can be valuable. Overall, the role offers potential for good earnings within the recruiting and tech industries.

How do you become a tech recruiter?

To become a tech recruiter, individuals typically need a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Gaining experience in recruiting, understanding technical roles, and becoming familiar with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools can enhance prospects.
