Job Description
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a full-time, faculty member to join the Pediatric division. This position is ideal for a CAQ eligible or board-certified pediatric radiologist with a strong interest in ED radiology.
The University of Maryland Children's Hospital has the largest NICU in the state of Maryland, with a combined total of just over 100 pediatric beds. Radiology services are also several community hospitals remotely. Within the pediatric radiology section, duties include oversight and interpretation of all modalities (plain film, fluoroscopy, US, CT & MRI) with the exception of interventional radiology and nuclear medicine. The department has state-of-the-art equipment including multiple dual source CT scanners, 1.5 and 3T MRI scanners, digital fluoroscopy, a hybrid Angio-CT suite, an upcoming hybrid PET/MRI system, and US equipment with contrast and elastography capability.
Our clinical network is linked to the University of Maryland Medical Center, the heart of the University of Maryland Medical System's Baltimore campus, by an enterprise-wide EMR driven PACS system, supported by voice recognition dictation with seamless interoperability.
