Job description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $26hr - $28hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 1+ years of experience in talent acquisition or human resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for acquiring talent for all divisions at the organization through various activities.
  • Request job duties from hiring managers and add appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Create vacancies in the applicant tracking system (Taleo).
  • Post positions to internal and external job boards using the Ohio Hiring Management System (OHMS) platform.
  • Notify sourcing partners of vacancies and represent the agency at job fairs.
  • Serve as the Human Resources (HR) representative during interviews.
  • Screen applications for minimum qualifications and conduct reference checks, background checks, and drug tests.
  • Process electronic Personnel Action Requests (ePARs) for hiring, transfers, and promotions.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives by serving as the agency coordinator for the annual Combined Charitable Campaign (CCC) and other charitable initiatives.
  • Maintain the agency's Tables of Organization (TOs) by making revisions when employees leave, join, or change positions.
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities including disposing of personnel and selection files according to records retention schedules.
