Summary/Objective: We are seeking a meticulous and dynamic Engineering Project Associate. The candidate will work collaboratively under the Operations Director and alongside the CEO, and the product development team to deliver our clients the quality of life-saving technologies we are known for. You will review project 3D models to build clear, concise shop drawings, and assimilate new details into our product template and library. You will also directly interface and enhance our supply chain of manufacturers, raw material suppliers, and commercial off-the-shelf vendors. 


Reports to: Director of Operations


Essential Functions: The successful candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These duties include:

  • Familiarizing oneself with TACREV's product line and detailing standards
  • Reviewing project 3D models to ascertain product scope
  • Developing shop drawings for engineering review and approval
  • Creating Fabrication Work Orders and Bills of Materials
  • Research and optimize our supply chain of vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

 Competencies and Personal Attributes:

  • 3+ years of experience with Solidworks, CAD, and equivalent 3D modeling software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise in manufacturing processes, techniques, and materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Positive "Can do" Attitude, problem solver, and strives for continuous improvement
  • Reliable, thorough, resourceful, accurate, organized, and mature
  • Capable of turning 3D models into technical drawings, shop drawings, and building work instructions

Supervisory Responsibility: None initially, but growth opportunities exist, including advancing to the Technology Division's Products Director.


Work Environment: This job operates in an office setting, a workshop, and a manufacturing setting, and requires trips to supply chain manufacturing facilities.


Attire and Personal Protective Equipment: Business casual clothing is required. Safety glasses and closed-toe shoes must be worn when in the workshop. Consult with management for project-specific PPE.


Physical Demands: Desk work, shop work, lifting and moving products that weigh over 50 lbs.


Travel: Travel to visit supply chain manufacturers and raw material suppliers is required less than 10% of the time.


Required Education: A college degree in engineering is preferred, focusing on the use of Solidworks, 3D models, and technical drawings.

Schedule: This is a full-time, salaried position, typically between 8 am-5:30 PM.
