Achieving such earnings typically requires extensive experience, advanced skills, and often working in high-demand industries or senior positions.

What Is a Sourcer?

A sourcer works to find the best candidates for a job, similar to recruiting employees. In this career, you typically do not work directly with a hiring manager, and instead work with a job description and see how it measures up against candidates’ qualifications. You help recruiters identify qualified candidates and initiate contact with potential hires. Primarily, you work on researching candidates, either by reaching out to them directly or looking over social media profiles and online resumes. This job is a vital part of the recruitment process for any major company.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A Sourcer can potentially earn $10,000 or more per month through high-volume recruiting, especially in specialized industries like tech or finance, often with strong networking and sourcing skills. Success depends on experience, performance, and the ability to secure high-paying contracts or commissions, rather than formal education.

What is a Sourcer?

A Sourcer is a recruiting professional who specializes in finding and identifying potential candidates for open positions within a company. They use various tools and techniques, such as online databases, social media, and networking, to proactively search for qualified talent. Sourcers typically focus on building talent pipelines and engaging with passive candidates, rather than managing the entire hiring process. Their work is crucial in helping organizations fill roles more efficiently and stay competitive in the job market.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Sourcer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Sourcer, you need strong research skills, talent market knowledge, and experience with recruitment processes, often supported by a degree in human resources or a related field. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), Boolean search techniques, and sourcing platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter is typically required. Excellent communication, persistence, and attention to detail are crucial soft skills that help build candidate relationships and ensure thorough searches. These skills and qualities are important because they enable Sourcers to identify and engage top talent efficiently, supporting organizational hiring goals.
