SharePoint Developer Primary Requirements:
Excellent Customer Focus and Communication skills
Experience working in SharePoint Designer 2010
Extensive experience with workflow development
Testing/QA experience
Experience implementing and deploying custom SharePoint features to enhance out of box SharePoint functionality
Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions using the appropriate and applicable SharePoint web part(s) using a combination of workflows and Web Development technologies
SharePoint development experience using Windows Workflow Foundation, InfoPath forms, and Excel services
Demonstrated experience utilizing Visual Studio for implementing local and enterprise wide enhancements and features
3 + years of professional development experience using.Net technologies with C#, CSS, and ASP.Net

SharePoint Developer Tasks:
Converts business requirements into technical solutions using the appropriate and applicable SharePoint Works with team members and the system architect and accepting content in various forms, such as excel sheets, word documents, pdf etc. from end users.
Works with content owners to ensure their Team Sites are set up correctly (Permissions, Navigation, Design)
Writes reusable web parts and features for an existing SharePoint 2010 infrastructure allowing end users to maintain their own content
Redesigning existing applications and developing new applications preferably using non-custom development SharePoint or if requirements call for it using 'light' development using SharePoint designer, InfoPath or basic.net coding to fulfill the requirements;
Helps with end user training and have the ability to interact with the customers to provide guidance with SharePoint related tasks.
Documents both business and technical requirements
Sets up content architecture in a current site structure, with emphasis on end users being able to maintain their content themselves
Responsible for providing support to end users in maintaining content on their various web pages
Communicates with end users, team lead and team members, the details of the proposed design, and progress on the work
Will play a major role with testing of applications throughout the team
