What can you expect?
As the Software Solutions Specialist, you will work on-site at the Anchorage, Alaska office and work independently or in teams to design, build, and manage digital solutions that improve how our organization works. You will be focused on SharePoint development, low-code application development, data management, and software integration across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This position requires a solutions-oriented developer who bridges the gap between business needs and technology, with a strong track record of delivering practical tools that drive efficiency and collaboration.
How will you do it?
SharePoint Development

  • Architect, develop, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, intranet portals, document libraries, and collaboration spaces
  • Build custom SharePoint pages, web parts, and list configurations to meet business requirements
  • Manage SharePoint site governance, permissions structures, and content lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint frameworks and templates to ensure consistency across the organization
  • Advise stakeholders on SharePoint best practices and capabilities
Low-Code Application Development
  • Design and build business applications using Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) to replace manual processes and legacy tools
  • Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows to automate repetitive tasks and integrate business processes
  • Leverage Power BI to create dashboards and reports that surface actionable insights for stakeholders
  • Evaluate and recommend low-code solutions that align with organizational goals and Microsoft licensing
  • Train and support end users on Power Platform tools and applications
Data Management
  • Design and manage data structures within SharePoint Lists, Dataverse, and related Microsoft data services
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and appropriate access controls across platforms
  • Develop data workflows and transformation processes to support reporting and operational needs
  • Partner with business units to document data requirements and translate them into structured solutions
  • Support records management and data retention policies within the Microsoft 365 environment
Software Integration
  • Integrate Microsoft 365 tools with third-party business systems using Power Automate, APIs, and connectors
  • Identify and implement integration opportunities that eliminate manual data handoffs between platforms
  • Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to map integration requirements and maintain solution documentation
  • Troubleshoot integration failures and maintain reliability of automated workflows and connected systems
  • Stay current on Microsoft ecosystem updates and assess their impact on existing integrations and solutions
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Who is Brice Engineering looking for?
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 development, business systems, or related IT role.
  • Deep hands-on experience with SharePoint Online development and administration.
  • Proven experience building solutions with Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data management principles, and Microsoft data services (Dataverse, SharePoint Lists).
  • Experience integrating Microsoft 365 with external platforms via APIs, connectors, or middleware.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience maintaining solution design records.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-900, PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, or MS-700.
  • Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for access and identity management.
  • Exposure to SharePoint Framework (SPFx) or JavaScript-based customizations.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 administration and automation.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Brice Engineering has a fast-paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. At times, work is performed outside of the office at indoor and outdoor job sites. Adaptability regarding schedule and design changes, and occasional overtime for immediate field support or bid processing may be necessary.
