Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Server to facilitate our restaurant operations within a dynamic poker room environment. The Lead Server will be responsible for managing a team of servers, ensuring high standards of customer service, and coordinating efficient dining operations. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle customer concerns while maintaining a positive and efficient atmosphere. Previous experience in food service and leadership roles is essential.

This role will be in-person located in our TCH Social location in Austin, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Supervise a team of servers, ensuring smooth and efficient service during shifts.
  • Train and Mentor new servers, providing guidance on restaurant procedures, customer service standards, and menu knowledge.
  • Monitor Service Quality to ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and high-quality service at all times.
  • Coordinate with Kitchen and Bar Staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
  • Handle Customer Concerns and Complaints with professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assign Sections and Tasks to servers, ensuring balanced workloads and coverage.
  • Ensure Health and Safety Standards are followed, including proper sanitation and food safety practices.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Dining Area, overseeing the cleanliness of tables, utensils, and serving stations.
  • Assist in Inventory Management, helping with ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
  • Support Management with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and staff scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Active Food Handlerโ€™s Certification (Required)
  • Active TABC Certification (Required)
  • At least 2-3 years working as a server in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting, with a proven ability to manage large numbers of guests.
  • Ability to guide and motivate a group of servers while maintaining high service standards.
  • Skilled in speaking clearly with guests, coworkers, and management, and addressing customer concerns professionally.
  • A genuine focus on providing great experiences for customers, anticipating their needs, and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks at once, making sure everything is handled efficiently during busy shifts.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to teach others how to follow these protocols.
  • Willingness to collaborate with team members and adapt to changes as needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, carry trays, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
