As Lead Server, youโ€™ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.

Your Role:

As a Lead Server, you will support dining room operations by providing excellent meal service, maintaining dining room readiness, and assisting with training and support of new servers. This role plays a key part in ensuring a welcoming, organized, and high-quality dining experience for residents and guests.

Position Highlights:

  • Status: FULL TIME
  • Schedule: Varied Schedule; Weekends Required; Rotating Holidays; Shift times 7a-3p & 11:30a-7:30p
  • Location: 20 Devonwood Drive, Farmington CT 06032
  • Rate of Pay: $17.50/hr-$19.50/hr

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Provide proper dining room setup, meal service, and dining room cleanliness
  • Take meal and beverage orders and serve meals in a friendly, timely manner
  • Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their dining experience
  • Maintain knowledge of daily specials and menu items and explain offerings to residents and guests
  • Maintain assigned tables and surrounding areas in a clean, organized, and ready state
  • Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
  • Support servers with day-to-day dining room operations
  • Assist with orientation and training of new servers
  • Practice all safety, sanitation, and loss prevention procedures
  • Set up and clean the dining room while maintaining hospitality and service standards
  • Maintain standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene
  • Complete opening and closing checklists
  • Assist with dining room flow, organization, and supply placement
  • Support special events and assist with tabletop inventory maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One (1) year of previous fine dining experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, guests, and team members
  • Ability to read and follow safety rules, procedures, and instructions
  • Demonstrated interest in working with a senior population
  • Strong customer service skills with a courteous and friendly demeanor
  • Ability to respond promptly to resident needs
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work flexible hours as needed
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment and sound decision-making abilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
