Job description

This Position is Third Shift.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for set-up, deliver and retrieve all food and beverage orders to guest rooms and hospitality suites while ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction.
JOB DUTIES:
  • Set-up and deliver all food and beverage orders in accordance with established guidelines, procedures and policies as prescribed by The Ballantyne Hotel standards.
  • Conduct floor sweeps and retrieve all food and beverage trays in order to maintain established sanitation guidelines.
  • Set-up and deliver all VIP amenities
  • Service all hospitality suites in accordance with BEO and established policy and procedures.
  • Complete all shift side work as outlined in the hotel's operating policies and procedures.
  • Respond to customer needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales. Report all communications to immediate shift supervisor.
  • Perform all cash handling responsibilities in accordance with The Ballantyne Hotel policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all inventories of needed supplies.
  • Answer the telephone and take all customer orders in accordance with operating policies and procedures.
  • MUST be able to work a flexible shift that includes: Nights and Weekends. Plus work Holidays as well, if needed.

Note: May be assigned other duties by supervisor or management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Related hospitality experience preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer Service skills
  • Ability to work the third shifts as well as some weekends and holidays
  • Able to work overtime as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to talk, hear, see, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, reach and perform repetitive motions.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 50 lbs.

The Room Service Server is responsible for receiving orders, preparing orders and delivering items to guestrooms in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner.
