The Role
As a Senior Technical Trainer, you will play a critical role in enabling customers and partners to successfully adopt and maximize AspenTech OSI solutions. You will design and deliver high-impact training experiences that translate complex Operational Technology (OT) systems into practical, realworld understanding-driving system reliability, performance, and long-term customer success.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, global environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams while continuously expanding your technical expertise within the energy and utilities industry.
Your Impact
  • Deliver engaging, instructor-led and virtual training for customers, partners, and internal teams worldwide.
  • Design, develop, and maintain technical training materials aligned with new product releases and evolving industry needs.
  • Simplify complex OT and automation concepts into clear, actionable learning experiences for diverse audiences.
  • Continuously assess training effectiveness and refine materials based on feedback, outcomes, and business priorities.
  • Partner closely with subject matter experts to understand new features and ensure accurate, effective instruction.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, support, and commercial teams to support product adoption and customer success.
  • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices to enhance training delivery and relevance.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong technical foundation in automation systems, computer systems, or OT environments.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience facilitating technical training, enablement, or customer-facing technical support (academic experience may be considered).
  • Proven ability to present complex technical material clearly and confidently to varied audiences.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, with occasional international travel.

Nice to Have
  • Prior experience delivering formal technical training or enablement programs.
  • Experience with AspenTech OSI products, utilities, or the energy industry.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles or instructional design methodologies.

The salary range for this role is $85,900.00 - $107,400.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
