Job description

Position Title: Graduate Assistant for Men's Volleyball
Supervisor: Head Men's Volleyball Coach
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Administrative
1. Assist with day-to-day operations of program
2. Assist with overall team management of all athletes
3. Assist directly with the admissions office to help with recruits' admission process
4. Assist with coordinating all recruiting visit itineraries
5. Organize and monitor all equipment necessary to the program
6. Work directly with academic support to help assist in the academic progress of each athlete
Competition
1. Responsible for game day prep, including all film and use of the volley-metrics system
2. Assist with statistics prior to, during and after all competitions
Practice/Individual Workouts
1. Assist with individual workouts, practice skill instruction and skill development
2. Assist with developing and implementing offense and defense
3. Help with building individual athletes while structuring drills to be more team oriented and game focused
Scouting/Film Exchange
1. Assist with organizing all conference and non-conference film exchange
2. Assist with creating and organizing all pregame scouting reports and breakdown of game film
3. Assist with streamlining all hardware and software associated with film exchange and game prep
Team Travel
1. Assist with coordinating team meals for away games
2. Assist Head Coach in organizing itineraries of away games
Qualifications
• Must have a bachelor's degree and 3.0 or above overall GPA
• Admission into a Cumberland University master's program
Anticipated Start Date
• August 1, 2026 (For school year 2026-2027)
