Position Overview

Campbellsville University, a comprehensive Christian institution committed to academic excellence and Christ-centered service, invites applications for the Full-Time Assistant Men's Soccer Coach position.

The Assistant Coach will play a vital role in supporting all aspects of a nationally competitive NAIA men's soccer program. This position requires an energetic, organized, and growth-oriented individual who is passionate about developing student-athletes academically, athletically, spiritually, and personally.

The successful candidate will contribute to a championship culture while assisting with recruiting, player development, match preparation, video analysis, goalkeeper development, program operations, and athletic department initiatives.

This position offers significant responsibility and professional growth opportunities within one of the NAIA's premier men's soccer programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coaching & Player Development

  • Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting daily training sessions.

  • Support tactical preparation, match analysis, and game-day coaching.

  • Develop and implement individual player development plans.

  • Assist in cultivating a positive, competitive, and accountable team culture.

  • Mentor student-athletes in alignment with the mission and values of Campbellsville University.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Recruiting

  • Identify, evaluate, and recruit qualified student-athletes who meet the program's academic, athletic, and cultural standards.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with club, academy, junior college, high school, and international recruiting networks.

  • Conduct player evaluations through live scouting and video analysis.

  • Coordinate recruiting communications and campus visits.

Video Analysis & Performance Analysis

  • Lead opponent scouting and video breakdown.

  • Produce scouting reports and tactical presentations for coaches and players.

  • Utilize platforms such as Hudl, Veo, Wyscout, Spiideo, or similar technologies to support performance analysis.

  • Assist with integrating data and analytics into player and team development.

Goalkeeper Development (Preferred)

  • Plan and conduct goalkeeper-specific training sessions.

  • Assist in goalkeeper evaluation, development, and recruitment.

  • Develop position-specific performance goals and assessment tools.

Program Operations

  • Assist with team travel, equipment management, scheduling, and logistics.

  • Support match-day operations and event management.

  • Coordinate and assist with camps, clinics, and fundraising initiatives.

  • Perform administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Athletic Department Responsibilities

  • Support department-wide initiatives and events.

  • Collaborate with coaches and staff across all sports programs.

  • Promote Campbellsville University Athletics' mission and values.

  • Assist with community engagement and donor relations efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and build meaningful relationships.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and extensive travel schedules.

  • Commitment to the Christian mission and values of Campbellsville University.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.

  • Collegiate coaching experience.

  • Goalkeeper coaching experience.

  • Advanced video analysis and scouting experience.

  • Experience with Hudl, Veo, Wyscout, Spiideo, Catapult, or similar technologies.

  • Experience recruiting international student-athletes.

  • Knowledge of NAIA eligibility, compliance, and roster management.

  • Coaching licensure through United Soccer Coaches, USSF, UEFA, CAF, AFC, CONMEBOL, or equivalent organizations.

  • Experience organizing camps, clinics, and fundraising events.

  • Bilingual preferred.
