JOB SUMMARY

Assist in the administration of project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A working knowledge of occupational safety at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelorโ€™s degree in occupational safety/health or equivalent experience such as a minimum of 4 years in construction working as a safety professional.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Thoroughly understands all federal, state, and local company safety related regulations. Stays up to date on new or changes to regulations and best practices.
  • Promotes a positive safety culture in a professional manner among site supervision and workers.
  • Assists site supervision in identifying, documenting, and determining resolutions to hazardous and potentially hazardous and/or unsafe working conditions and behaviors.
  • Assists in supervision and administration of safety, compliance, and training activities.
  • Observes and provides coaching to workers and field supervision in safe and best practices.
  • Assists in completion of and/or review completed JHAโ€™s, Permits, Emergency Action Plans, MOPโ€™s, SOPโ€™s and other proactive safety related documentation.
  • Conducts visual and documented safety inspections and audits using a cloud-based document control program, tracking open items and following up to ensure abatement.
  • Provides and coordinates safety training as required including but limited to New Hire Orientation, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Excavation Training, Toolbox talks and Safety Stand Up topics.
  • Visually inspects and documents safety equipment inspections.
  • Manages safety related documents through company and client databases.
  • Responds, investigates, and provides detailed reports for any safety issue/incident that may occur, including compiling data, photographs etc.
  • Conducts reclassification and various industrial hygiene samplings, such as gas, 02, noise test to ensure safe working conditions when required.
  • Assists in emergencies as required.
  • Must have the following trainings: Narcan, Bloodborne Pathogens, and emergency procedures training.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
