Job Opening: Chef | AMFM Healthcare (Full-Time)

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team at our private adult residential treatment facility. In this vital role, you’ll help nourish clients on their journey toward recovery by preparing delicious, well-balanced meals in a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Location: Poulsbo, Washington
Status and Compensation: Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt | $28-$32/hour.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm.

What You’ll Do:

As our Chef, you'll lead daily meal preparation and kitchen operations while ensuring that all meals meet dietary and safety standards — especially for individuals with specialized nutritional needs, including eating disorders. You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and serving lunch and dinner daily for clients and staff

  • Coordinating meal delivery across multiple residential sites

  • Guiding breakfast and weekend meal service procedures

  • Maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards

  • Adapting meals to accommodate individual dietary restrictions

  • Managing food inventory, purchasing, and expense reconciliation

  • Creating weekly menus that are both nutritious and satisfying

  • Keeping a respectful and positive attitude with clients and staff

  • Ensuring compliance with all county, state, and ServSafe standards

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Valid Food Handler’s Certification (ServSafe Manager Certification preferred)

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Current TB test clearance

  • Current and valid CPR and First Aid Certification

  • Ability to pass background checks as required by the company, state, or federal guidelines

  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 40 pounds)

  • Experience preparing meals in a residential or healthcare setting preferred
