What To Expect
In the role of the Senior Recruiter, you will partner with HDR leadership to steer the talent identification and recruitment process for roles in the Southeast & Northeast US. Your day-to-day duties will be driving the full life cycle recruitment process from qualifying positions, talent identification, recruiting, selection and closing. You will join forces with leadership to map out annual recruiting plans and assure the recruitment goals set therein are being effectively implemented and achieved.
Typical positions the Senior Recruiter will work on are engineers, planners, architects, project managers, designers, environmental scientists and construction management professionals. Market sectors range from transportation, water, architecture, infrastructure, power, solid waste and mining. Service offerings range from traditional design, alternative delivery, construction management, program management and advisory services.
You will be part of the dedicated global talent acquisition team (recruiters and recruiting coordinators) positioned throughout North America, Europe and Australia.
More specific duties include:
  • Build strong, credible relationships with senior leadership, hiring managers, critical stakeholders and partners, operating as a trusted advisor and talent subject matter expert
  • Proactively sourcing and managing candidates through the full life-cycle recruitment process
  • Diversity and equity champion. Partner with our diversity, equity and inclusion recruiting teams, employee network groups and professional associations to increase diversification of our talent pool.
  • HDR currently leverages Taleo as our applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Leverage a wide variety of methodologies to deliver candidate sourcing results (referrals, LinkedIn, professional associations, ZoomInfo, etc.)
  • Developing annual recruitment plans with business partners
  • Position description refinement
  • Sourcing and screening candidates
  • Directing and participating in select interview processes.
  • Reference checks
  • Negotiating and closing deals

  • Mentor junior recruiters
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of hands-on recruiting / sourcing experience
  • Previous experience working in a web-based applicant tracking system
  • Previous experience in the architectural, engineering and consulting industry
  • Local candidates are highly preferred
