Position Overview
AKIVA is seeking a Senior Recruiting Manager to lead recruitment operations and supervise the recruiting team supporting participating North Carolina community colleges. This individual ensures timely fulfillment of direct hire requisitions, maintains recruitment quality standards, monitors candidate pipelines, and implements sourcing strategies across all position categories, including professional, clerical, custodial, and grounds positions. The Senior Recruiting Manager collaborates with college Human Resources offices to develop job descriptions, duties, and minimum qualifications, and ensures qualified candidates are recommended within the contract's required timelines. AKIVA equips this role with AI powered sourcing and screening tools that accelerate candidate identification and pipeline development.
Key Responsibilities
Manage recruitment workflow, requisition assignments, and candidate fulfillment across participating colleges.
Oversee candidate sourcing, screening, and submission to meet the contract's five business day recommendation requirement.
Maintain recruitment quality standards and ensure submitted candidates meet each position's minimum qualifications.
Coordinate executive, professional, and hard-to-fill searches across multiple position categories.
Collaborate with participating community college HR offices to develop job descriptions, duties, expectations, and qualifications.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate assigned Talent Acquisition Specialists and recruitment support staff.
Monitor pipeline health, time-to-fill, and replacement guarantee performance, reporting metrics to the Program Manager.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 2 years in a recruiting team leadership or management role.
Demonstrated experience recruiting across diverse position categories, including professional, administrative, and skilled or trades roles.
Strong sourcing expertise across job boards, social platforms, referrals, and talent communities.
Experience managing requisition workloads against defined service-level timelines.
Excellent communication, candidate engagement, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
Experience recruiting for higher education, state government, or public sector clients.
AIRS, CSP, or equivalent recruiting certification.
Experience with high-volume and executive or hard-to-fill search strategies.
