Job description

Clearance Required: Active Secret clearance

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or experience in deficiency records management, deficiency records system upgrade and testing, and project management
  • Security + certification

Experience Required:

  • Proficient in the use of the Government Technical Support Management (TSM) system and the Electronic Trial Card (ETC) tool
  • Knowledge of ship construction
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite applications


Job Summary: Provide onsite deficiency records management, TSM system upgrade and testing, and project management support to the USCG Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Project Resident Office (PRO). This work shall be performed at the office in OPC PRO in Mobile, AL.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide TSM System and ETC system overview customer and stakeholders
  • Support tracking deficiency records and processes
  • Develop and maintain ship unique data and database for OPC PRO deficiency record input into the ETC tool and TSM system
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the status of deficiency records, and preparation of various reports, technical briefings, assessments, audits, and milestone reviews
  • Assist with pre-screening and screening activities before, during and post trials
  • Assist with the tracking, defect coding, and other applicable technical assistance on all trial cards from the ETC tool creation, through closure in the TSM system
  • Maintain a deployable mini-local area network for sea trials
  • Attend and support meetings and program reviews
  • Physical Abilities: Requires moderate walking and movement through an active shipyard and OPCs under construction. Employee shall provide and wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by standard industry practice when out in the shipyard.

Salary: The projected salary range for this position is $90,000-$105,000 and is based on experience and contractual requirements. However, this is not a guarantee of salary.
