About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and execution-focused contractor to support Enterprise IT vendor operations and procurement coordination. This role will serve as the operational backbone for managing supplier onboarding, software procurement workflows, purchase requests, and purchase order tracking across a growing portfolio of enterprise and engineering applications.
As our client continues expanding ownership of critical engineering and developer platforms, we are looking for someone who can centralize and streamline operational processes while partnering closely with IT, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Security, and external vendors.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is highly detail-oriented, and enjoys driving operational execution across multiple stakeholders and systems.
Responsibilities
Vendor & Supplier Onboarding
Coordinate onboarding activities for new software vendors and suppliers
Track onboarding dependencies across Procurement, Legal, Security, Finance, and IT
Ensure vendor requests move efficiently from intake to completion
Maintain documentation and operational visibility throughout the onboarding lifecycle
Procurement Operations
Create and manage purchase requisitions within SAP and future procurement platforms
Track purchase orders through full lifecycle completion
Monitor approval workflows and proactively escalate blockers
Partner closely with Finance and Procurement teams to ensure timely execution
Jira Intake & Workflow Management
Own and manage the Enterprise IT procurement intake queue within Jira
Ensure requests contain accurate information and proper routing
Maintain operational status updates and stakeholder communication
Help improve intake workflows and process standardization over time
Engineering & Enterprise Application Support
Support procurement coordination for engineering and developer tooling
Assist with software renewals, licensing coordination, and vendor communication
Partner with Enterprise IT platform owners on operational execution activities
Operational Process Improvement
Identify process bottlenecks and opportunities for automation
Create documentation, workflows, and operational runbooks
Help establish scalable operational practices as our Client Tech grows
Qualifications:
Required
3+ years of experience in procurement operations, vendor management, IT operations, project coordination, or related fields
Experience working with procurement or ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Strong organizational and follow-through skills
Ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable operating in cross-functional technical environments
High attention to detail and operational ownership mindset
Preferred
Experience supporting Enterprise IT or Engineering organizations
Familiarity with Jira and workflow/ticketing systems
Experience working with software licensing or SaaS vendors
Experience supporting fast-growing technology organizations
Familiarity with procurement lifecycle management processes
