We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Purchasing Administrator to join our Nampa, ID team. In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by ensuring the strategic sourcing, negotiation, and timely procurement of materials and services. You will play a key role in supplier performance management, inventory optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives within a safety-driven culture.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities including requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier coordination within the ERP system (Encompix)
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and reliability
  • Conduct RFQs, quotation analysis, and negotiations for materials, equipment, and services
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and identify alternative and risk-mitigated supply sources

Supplier Performance & Relationship Management
  • Monitor and score supplier performance (quality, delivery, responsiveness)
  • Lead supplier issue resolution including non-conforming material returns (RMA process)
  • Collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives

Inventory & Materials Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory balances and ensure alignment with production demand
  • Establish and optimize min/max levels and Kanban systems
  • Support material forecasting and production scheduling requirements
  • Maintain data integrity within the ERP system (item master, lead times, pricing)

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with engineering, quality, production, and accounting teams to support operations
  • Coordinate engineering changes and supplier communication
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and support month-end close activities

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Utilize Excel and Power BI to analyze purchasing trends, inventory levels, and supplier performance
  • Generate and improve reporting to drive informed decision-making
  • Identify and implement process improvements across procurement and inventory functions
  • Act as an ERP (Encompix) subject matter resource, supporting system usage and optimization

Perform other related duties as required

Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power BI preferred)
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Experience with bill of materials (BOMs), forecasting, and inventory planning
  • Knowledge of lean inventory practices (Kanban, JIT)
  • Familiarity with supplier performance management programs
