Indirect purchasing refers to the procurement of goods and services that are not directly incorporated into a company's finished products but are necessary for daily operations. These can include office supplies, maintenance services, IT equipment, travel expenses, and other overhead costs. Indirect purchasing helps businesses manage costs, improve efficiency, and support core activities by ensuring non-production needs are met in a cost-effective manner.

In Indirect Purchasing, professionals often encounter challenges such as managing a diverse supplier base, balancing cost savings with quality and service requirements, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
