Experienced Pastry Cook
Are you an experienced pastry professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and attention to detail? Scratchboard Kitchen is looking for a skilled Pastry Cook to help lead the production of our beloved pop tarts, biscuits, muffins, cookies, and more while contributing to the growth and evolution of our pastry program.
At Scratchboard Kitchen, you'll work with fresh ingredients, detailed recipes, and collaborate with our Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to create baked goods our guests rave about. We're looking for someone with a strong pastry foundation, excellent technique, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and execution.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Follow prep lists and detailed instructions from our Pastry Chef.
• Expertly prepare our signature pastries, including pop tarts, biscuits, muffins, cookies, and seasonal specials.
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards across all pastry production.
• Adhere to recipes and uphold our high-quality standards consistently.
• Keep your station organized, clean, and compliant with all health and safety requirements.
• Assist with recipe refinement, product development, and seasonal menu additions.
• Help maintain production levels for a high-volume scratch kitchen.
• Bring professionalism, accountability, and a positive attitude every day.
Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills.
• 2+ years of professional pastry or bakery experience required.
• Strong understanding of pastry techniques, doughs, batters, and baking fundamentals.
• Experience producing pastries from scratch in a professional kitchen.
• Ability to work independently and manage production efficiently.
• Ability to maintain quality and consistency in a high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Early morning and weekend availability required.
• Culinary school education or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Team-focused mindset.
Compensation:
• Hourly: $18-19, based on experience and skill level.

Physical Demands:
