What we're looking for:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pastry Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic pastry team in our Commissary Kitchen. This role requires a passion for classic French pâtisserie, strong leadership qualities, and a commitment to excellence. As the Pastry Junior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the pastry team to support daily production needs for our private members club Maxime's and the Birley Bakery, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and leadership are demonstrated.
  • Support and assist the Pastry Sous Chef in the preparation, execution, and presentation of high-quality and pâtisserie and desserts.
  • Lead the pastry team during preparation in the absence of the Senior Chefs.
  • Ensure consistency and quality control across all pastry items, from proofing and baking to finishing and garnishing.
  • Collaborate on seasonal menu development and recipe testing.
