Typical responsibilities include measuring and mixing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and learning pastry techniques under supervision. The internship is designed to provide hands-on experience, improve technical skills, and gain insight into the daily operations of a pastry kitchen. Pastry interns may also help with plating desserts, inventory, and sometimes customer service, depending on the establishment.
