What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a Partnerships role, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Partnerships role, you need strong relationship-building abilities, strategic thinking, and a background in business, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with CRM platforms, data analytics tools, and sometimes contract management systems is typically required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills distinguish top performers in this position. These competencies are vital for identifying mutually beneficial opportunities, maintaining productive alliances, and driving organizational growth.

How does a Partnerships professional typically collaborate with other departments within a company?

Partnerships professionals frequently work cross-functionally, collaborating with teams such as marketing, sales, product development, and legal to ensure successful partnership execution. They often coordinate project timelines, align partnership goals with business objectives, and facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external partners. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to balance the interests of both the company and its partners. Regular meetings, joint planning sessions, and shared reporting are common collaboration methods.

What are partnerships in a business context?

Partnerships in a business context refer to collaborative relationships between two or more organizations or individuals who work together to achieve common goals. These alliances can involve sharing resources, expertise, or market access to drive growth, expand reach, or create new opportunities. Partnerships can take many forms, such as strategic alliances, joint ventures, or affiliate agreements, and are often formalized through contracts outlining the roles and responsibilities of each party. Successful partnerships are built on trust, clear communication, and mutual benefit.

Job description

About DualEntry
Founded in 2024, DualEntry is one of the world's fastest-growing AI startups.
At DualEntry, the future of finance is being written today. ERP is one of the largest fintech markets in the world ($220,000,000,000+). Yet, tens of thousands of companies are still using on-premise systems, and the industry has not seen new entrants in more than 30 years.
Our AI-native ERP lets accounting teams achieve more in less time. $5M-ARR businesses to NYSE-listed companies trust DualEntry to automate away manual data entry work with AI. We're finally making the one-person finance team a reality and putting the pain of legacy ERPs from the 1990's in the past.
We operate with urgency and ownership. We move fast.
Why This Role Matters Now
Since starting 18 months ago, we've raised $100,000,0000+ from world-class investors such as Lightspeed Venture Partners, Khosla Ventures, Contrary Ventures and Google Ventures, as well as more than 20 angel investors who've built, scaled, and exited some of the most impactful companies of the last decade.
We got there by moving incredibly fast and hiring an exceptionally sharp, hard-working and deeply committed team from leading tech and accounting companies - Ramp, Meta, Microsoft, Lyft, PwC, Deloitte, J.P. Morgan, Bloomberg, Sage, Xero and Intuit. And some of us don't have a fancy logo on our resume and are here for a shot to prove ourselves.
We're a small team, growing fast with huge momentum - join early.
As our Strategic Partnerships Lead, you'll help build DualEntry's partnerships engine by identifying, closing, and activating high-leverage partners (accounting firms, fractional CFOs, consultants, and adjacent SaaS platforms). Your work will directly shape our partner ecosystem, GTM velocity, and growth trajectory.
This is an intense, hands-on role with full ownership. We expect you to push for excellence and raise the bar.
Location: New York City HQ, 7 World Trade Center
Where you'll create impact
  • You'll define and lead DualEntry's end-to-end partnerships strategy
  • You'll own the full partner funnel from sourcing and onboarding to automation, measurement, and revenue impact, and help build a repeatable system that scales
  • You'll unlock new revenue, driving co-marketing, and generating a consistent flow of high-quality leads.
  • You'll build an AI and automation-driven partnerships engine that scales what used to take a team of five
  • You'll grow and nurture high-value partner relationships through events, webinars, in-person meetings, and co-marketing
  • You'll own partnership metrics, dashboards, experiments, and funnel optimization
  • You'll collaborate with founders, sales, and product to drive measurable revenue impact
  • You'll travel 1-2 times per month for strategic partner meetings and events

What sets you up for success
  • Hardcore work ethic and high agency
  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or GTM roles
  • Proven success building or scaling partner ecosystems
  • Experience working with System Integrators (SI) firms, accounting firms, fintech tools, or SaaS integrations
  • Data-driven and experimental mindset - obsessed with funnels, metrics, and repeatable systems
  • Ability to build scalable automation workflows using modern growth tools
  • Comfortable operating in high-speed, high-ownership startup environments

Nice to have:
  • Hands-on experience with growth automation tools (Clay, UnifyGTM, Apollo, Lemlist)
  • Experience in SaaS, AI, or B2B tech sales
  • Background in demand generation or account-based marketing (ABM)
  • Passion for tech, growth hacking, and outbound automation
Why you'll thrive here
  • Significant equity ownership in one of the top AI companies in the world
  • You're joining early and will grow with DualEntry
  • Your feedback shapes the product directly
  • High-speed culture
  • High-trust environment with high expectations
  • Ambitious mission - ERP is one of the largest B2B software markets in the world ($220bn per year), this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to build the next generation ERP in an industry that has not seen new entrants in 30+ years

Compensation & Benefits
  • Equity: $40,000 - $65,000
  • Base Salary: $120,000 - $200,000
  • Commission: $30,000 - $60,000 (uncapped)
  • On-site team culture: high collaboration, no bureaucracy
  • Full medical, dental & vision insurance
  • Commuter benefits
  • 401k benefits

We hire the best, expect the best, and give you the masterclass of your career - an archaic and huge industry like ERP only goes through a seismic shift like this once in a lifetime. It's hard, it's intense, and it's the most rewarding work you'll do this decade.
If you're hungry, driven, and ready to build something massive, climb aboard!
At DualEntry, we believe great products come from diverse teams. We're an equal opportunity employer, and we're committed to a culture where everyone feels included, supported, and able to do their best work.
