Complete Description:

  • This role involves leading the implementation and continuous improvement of the Oracle cloud HCM Payroll application to enhance business processes.
  • We are looking for an experienced consulting professional who has strong payroll business process knowledge, broad understanding of solutions, transportation industry, standard methodologies, technology designs, and operates independently to provide quality work products in our engagement.
  • Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, to implement Oracle HCM payroll product to meet our business needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Leads the business team through the project life cycle, with focus on best practice process adoption.
  • Leads business requirements meetings, facilitates productive discussions, and drives decisions.
  • Designs processes and prepares the solution Blueprint for project implementation.
  • The Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll Functional Consultant will work with project teams and business stakeholders to implement solutions using Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll configurations. The resource must have hands on functional experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, Benefits, Absence Management and Time & Labor modules.
  • Ability to articulate the product/module features to business teams by conducting the Product familiarity sessions and trainings as needed.
  • Leads business requirements meetings, facilitates productive discussions, and drives decisions.
  • This will include, but is not limited to, workshop facilitation, deliverable generation, application configuration, comprehensive testing to achieve successful testing, business process best practice advice, deployment planning, deployment execution, and post go-live support. Configure payroll business rules.
  • Ability to demonstrate the solution approach through Proof of concept/Conference Room Pilot and seek business approval before transitioning into Solution Design/Development phase.
  • Leads the creation of functional designs, configuration workbooks, and configures Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, Benefits, and Absence Management modules in close cooperation with the business teams.
  • Coordinates design and configuration with other functional leads across the Oracle Cloud HCM implementation scope.
  • Ability to work with the business teams to help convert legacy payroll data.
  • Leads the testing effort tests, testcase preparation and testing the solution with users.
  • Assist the integration consulting team in helping to build, configure and test integrations between Payroll and third party/custom solutions.
  • Provides super user and end user training on Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, Benefits, and Absence Management modules.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Oracle HCM Cloud and having multiple project implementation experience in Payroll, Absence Management and Time & Labor modules.
  • 10+ years implementing HCM Payroll solutions, with experience as a payroll consultant to drive HR technology implementations through process design, configuration, process playback, user acceptance testing, cutover and production launch.
  • Minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ experience in a Functional Lead role in Oracle HCM Cloud North America Payroll Implementations.
  • Experience in 3-5 full life cycle implementations of Oracle Cloud Payroll, Absence Management and Time & Labor modules.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Payroll implementation and configuration.
  • A deep understanding of payroll requirements, including tax regulations.
  • Good experience in payroll processing, troubleshoot the issues, Oracle quarterly upgrades, quarter and year end activities, Fast Formula, Extracts, HDL, BI Publisher and OTBI reporting.
  • Possesses high level collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll processing, ability to troubleshoot payroll issues and provide resolution, executing of post payroll processes and ensuring the accuracy of files being transmitted post payroll to various vendors.
  • Expertise on North American payroll functional business processes and US regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in Payroll cloud Tax update activities and payroll testing after each tax update.
  • Expertise in driving and executing Payroll parallel testing. SME in taxation from a business standpoint
  • Ability to configure taxation in Oracle Cloud Ability to troubleshoot and correct taxation issues.
  • Good understanding of integration points with GL.
  • Expertise on Payroll Integrations, HCM Extracts, BI reporting, and Payroll data conversions for US.
  • Should have good understanding on Oracle Payroll cloud tables.
  • Responsible for developing new payroll interfaces with third party systems.
  • Previous consulting experience with a consulting/SI organization.
  • Oracle Cloud Payroll Certification is preferred.
