Payroll Specialist - Bilingual

Unify CPA & Payroll

Fort Collins, CO

$21.65 - $31.25/hr

Full-time

Posted 4 days ago

Job description

This role is located in Fort Collins, CO and is fully in-person.

Maybe you’ve been a Payroll Specialist in one of those big box corporate payroll companies. You know, the kind that makes clients feel like a number; the kind that made you feel like a number.

Or, maybe you’ve been a Payroll Specialist in a payroll company that doesn’t feel like it used to; where you aren’t as proud to be part of it as you once were.

You need to get to know Unify! We’re different from conventional payroll companies because we’re also a CPA firm. We build much more strategic, consultative business relationships with our clients than a regular payroll company ever could, because we are trusted with so much more of their business. That means our retention is amazing!

Our focus is always small businesses. That’s worked really well for us. The growth trajectory we’ve been on for several years will have us tripling our revenue in ten years. We’re building for that future now, and that’s where you could come in.

Our Bilingual Payroll Specialist will:

  • Train English and Spanish-speaking customers to use our payroll, timekeeping, and onboarding software (isolved).
  • Process incoming payrolls for various businesses.
  • Apprise customers of payroll laws and regulations that impact their business.
  • Maintain employee records
  • Enter payroll and other HR data.

We seek a Payroll Specialist who has:

  • 3+ Years as a Payroll Specialist in a Payroll Company or CPA Firm
  • Experience using and/or training iSolved Payroll Software.
  • At least a High School diploma. FPC or CPP preferred
  • An aptitiude for handling numbers in a professional setting.
  • A robust understanding of payroll tax and payroll laws and regulations, or the ability to learn quickly
  • The innate ability to build customer confidence and lasting relationships with our clients
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, the emotional intelligence, and the professional voice needed to directly communicate with clients
  • The inclination to take initiative and use independent judgment
  • Mastery of both English and Spanish.

This will not be the right opportunity for those who:

  • Do not have at least 3 years of experience in Payroll Companies AND with iSolved.
  • Are uncomfortable or struggle to understand concepts when handling sensitive financial and payroll information
  • Need or expect a lot of oversight or hand-holding
  • Enjoy or participate in office gossip and triangulation
  • Approach new ideas, new clients, new team members, or new technologies with skepticism or pessimism rather than seeing potential
  • Want to be left alone and uninvolved in the growth of our firm.
  • Are not able to speak, read, and write in both Spanish and English at a professional level appropriate for customer-facing positions.

Our expected pay range for this position is $21.65 - $31.25 per hour at 25-40 hrs per week depending on availability.

We expect to have this job open until the end of May.
