Position Overview:
Grand View Lodge is seeking a polished, proactive Spa Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our spa, one of the signature experiences within our full-service resort. Working closely with the Director of Spa & Wellness, you'll manage a talented team, uphold the exceptional standards our guests expect, and help drive the business forward through strong leadership, cross-department collaboration, and a genuine passion for the guest experience. This is a role for someone who leads by example: professional, positive, and deeply detail oriented.

About Grand View Lodge & Cote Hospitality:

For over 100 years, Cote Hospitality has crafted transformative guest experiences across world-class resorts and camps. At Grand View Lodge, that means exceptional wellness woven into a full resort lifestyle, golf, dining, events, and more, all grounded in our CoteCares culture of belonging, respect, and shared purpose.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily spa operations, maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction throughout the spa environment.
  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate all spa team members; partner with Human Resources as needed for counseling and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, positivity, and continuous improvement through proactive communication and present leadership.
  • Build and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Co-manage supply inventories, including ordering and requisitioning alongside current team members.
  • Communicate regularly with the Director of Spa & Wellness on operations, team performance, guest feedback, and opportunities for growth.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across spa and resort departments, teamwork is central to how we operate.
  • Lead and facilitate team meetings and training sessions, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Support retail initiatives and drive revenue through effective merchandising and team engagement.
  • Utilize spa management systems (Book4Time preferred) and Microsoft Office for scheduling, reporting, and payroll functions.
  • This is a resort hospitality role, availability on weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of management experience in a spa or hospitality setting.
  • A guest-centric mindset and a high standard for detail, you notice what others miss and take pride in the experience you create.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; you build trust across teams and departments naturally.
  • Experience coaching and developing team members, ideally with an understanding of HR best practices.
  • Professional, punctual, and consistently positive, you model the culture you want your team to embody.
  • Computer proficiency for scheduling, reporting, and payroll; Microsoft Word and Excel required, Book4Time experience a strong plus.
  • Ability to read chemical labels and prepare clear, complete written reports and assessments.
  • Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs, reach, and bend; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Retail sales or buying experience is a plus.

Why join us:

You'll be part of a team that genuinely invests in its people. CoteCares isn't a tagline, it's how we show up for each other every day. You'll have the opportunity to build and shape a high-performing spa team, grow alongside a Director who values collaboration, and make your mark at one of the Midwest's most beloved resort destinations.
