Spa Manager - Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa
Hillsborough, NJ
We're hiring a full-time Spa Manager to lead our full-service Hand & Stone spa in Hillsborough. This is a hands-on leadership role built around three things: selling memberships, filling the appointment book, and delivering a five-star client experience You run the floor, coach the team, and make sure every client walks out feeling like that visit was the best hour of their month - and books their next one before they leave.
The right person is goal-oriented and growth-minded, with a real track record in sales management, spa or service operations, and customer service. You lead from the floor, you love developing people, and you know how to turn great service into loyal, returning members.
What you'll focus on
This role lives and dies by three priorities:
1. Selling memberships Membership is the heart of our business. You coach and motivate your team to educate and delight every client so they join our Lifestyle Program - and you hold the standard that makes conversion consistent, not occasional. You lead from the front desk by example.
2. Filling the appointment book More appointments mean more revenue and more members. You drive bookings and rebookings, keep the schedule tight and full, recover cancellations, and make sure every client leaves with their next visit already on the calendar. You watch utilization and you move it.
3. Delivering an exceptional client experience Every visit should feel like a five-star experience, from the greeting at the front desk to the treatment room and the rebooking on the way out. You set the standard, train to it, and protect it on every shift - because experience is what turns a first-time guest into a long-term member.
What you'll also own
You manage a full-service spa - both the massage side and our esthetics/facial side - including a front-desk sales team, massage therapists, and estheticians working with professional lines like Dermalogica and IMAGE Skincare across facials, microdermabrasion, LightStim, DiamondGlow, and more. That means recruiting and building a strong team, running smooth daily operations, and measuring results so the spa keeps growing.
What you need to succeed
  • 2-3 years of management experience in salon/spa, retail, or hospitality
  • A proven background in sales management and coaching a team to goals
  • Comfort with metrics - you can read a P&L or a sales report and act on it
  • A flexible schedule, including some nights and a weekend day
  • The ability to confidently promote the benefits of massage and skincare services
  • Strong people skills - you can lead, develop, and have the hard conversations when you need to

What we offer
  • Competitive base pay plus performance-based bonus (details discussed in interview)
  • 401(k) with company match and health insurance
  • Ongoing sales and leadership training
  • A clear path to grow with a multi-location group that's actively expanding across New Jersey
