Spa Supervisor

About the role:

The Spa Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Spa Assistant Manager and the Director of Spa & Retail with the day-to-day operations and retail merchandising of the Spa. The Spa Supervisor will assist in leading the Spa Concierge and Spa Attendant teams and be visible in the operation, welcome and register spa guests, handle requests for guests, clients, and group contacts, support retail promotions and events and maintain supplies and equipment.

What you will do:

  • Assists the Spa Assistant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Spa and constantly striving to improve the guest experience by adding personal recommendations and touches to exceed guest expectations.

  • Assists in the training of the Spa staff to exceed standards. Ability to work with Learning Manager and Designated Trainers to achieve the best possible learning environments for spa staff.

  • Assists in the coaching, mentoring and leadership for Spa employees and convey clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale.

  • The ability to participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes as well as ways to increase sales and service.

  • The ability to work closely with Engineering Housekeeping, and Laundry, to maintain quality and mechanical operation, cleanliness and special requirements of all Spa equipment and facilities.

  • The ability to keep the Spa Assistant Manager, Spa Director and Director of Leisure & Wellness informed about the department, all employees' performance, and guests' concerns and comments and assist with other duties as needed.

What you bring:

  • Minimum 1+ years' experience in a luxury Spa.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and passion of spa, wellness, and holistic modalities.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Guest centricity and understanding the importance of guest's preferences.

  • Requires the ability to operate computer equipment and knowledge of Microsoft applications.

  • Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.
