JOB OVERVIEW:

The provider is responsible for ensuring positive and friendly guest relations at all times with both internal and external guests as is expected of Acqualina Spa Five Star culture. Customizing skincare and body needs based on individual clients utilizing protocols, in addition to educating all guests on home care products as needed for healthier skin.  

REPORTS TO:      Operations Manager/Spa Director

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

·         Job involves working:  Main: locker rooms, relaxation areas, SPA Pool Trace. Secondary: All spa areas 

·         While standing for up to 8 hours including stair climbing to access various locations within spa

·         Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. 

·         Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold)

·         Under variable noise levels

·         Outdoors/indoors

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Staff in Spa, Pool, Laundry, Housekeeping and Engineering.

External:   Hotel guests/visitors, Spa members.          


QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

  • High school graduate.
  • Current Florida license in Massage therapy from an accredited school.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Provide legible communication and directions.
  • Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers).
  • Ability to:
  • perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • prioritize, organize and follow up.
  • be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgement.
  • follow directions thoroughly.
  • understand guest’s service needs.
  • work cohesively with co-workers as part of a five cultured team.
  • work with minimal supervision.
  • maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience as a therapist
  • Experience with computers, calculators or word processors.
  • Experience in Hospitality Industry in similar position.
  • Previous guest relations training
  • Fluency in a second language preferably Spanish, Portuguese or Russian
  • Knowledge of Forbes 5 Star, LHW, AAA Five Diamond and ESPA standards.
