SPA MANAGER
At Sea | $4,000 - $6,000 USD per Month
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are searching for a passionate and experienced Spa Manager to lead the spa and wellness operation aboard a luxury river cruise vessel. Soft opening is announced for November, with high season spanning six months of the year. The spa is a full-service facility featuring multiple treatment rooms, Hammam and steam amenities, a Technogym-equipped fitness center, and a curated luxury product offering, managed in partnership with a third-party spa management company.
The vessel caters primarily to the U.S. and Mexican markets, and the Spa Manager will be the on-board wellness leader responsible for delivering a world-class guest experience. Rotations are available on a 6 or 9-month basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee all spa, wellness, and fitness operations aboard the vessel, ensuring exceptional service at every guest touchpoint
  • Lead, develop, and schedule the spa team, maintaining consistently high treatment and service standards
  • Manage the spa's luxury product retail offering, driving sales and brand awareness among guests
  • Liaise with the third-party spa management company to ensure alignment on standards, protocols, and training
  • Drive spa revenue through thoughtful scheduling, personalized recommendations, and guest engagement
  • Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all spa and fitness areas
  • Deliver a warm, guest-focused experience that reflects the luxury positioning of the vessel
  • Handle guest feedback with professionalism and a genuine commitment to exceeding expectations

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience as a Spa Manager or senior spa leader in a luxury hotel, resort, or wellness environment
  • Cruise ship or maritime experience is not required; a passion for hospitality and adaptability to life aboard a vessel are essential
  • Strong operational background across a full-service spa with multiple treatment modalities and wellness facilities
  • Experience working alongside a third-party spa management company is an advantage
  • Knowledge of luxury spa product brands and retail management within a spa setting
  • English fluency is required; Spanish language skills are a strong advantage given the primary guest markets
  • Genuine passion for wellness, guest experience, and delivering meaningful spa journeys
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

WHAT'S OFFERED
  • Salary: $4,000 to $6,000 USD per month
  • Rotation contract available on a 6 or 9-month basis
  • Soft opening announced for November
