We're seeking a Director of Operations Efficiency and Workflow Integrity to join us. This is a remote position.
The Director of Operations Efficiency and Workflow Integrity is responsible for driving operational excellence across Zotec by optimizing processes, enhancing workflow accuracy, and ensuring consistent operational integrity.
What you'll do:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity through automation, process improvement, and process re-engineering.
  • Lead the evaluation and refinement of operational needs to identify root causes, define requirements, and determine the appropriate solution.
  • Design and implement scalable workflow and automation solutions that support operational efficiency, cost reduction, revenue improvement, client needs, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Support analytics initiatives that enhance visibility, efficiency, and automation performance.
  • Ensure automation quality through structured planning, testing, validation, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Analyze data, identify root causes, and drive data-informed redesigns of operational processes.
  • Lead and develop a team of Workflow professionals with responsibilities spanning process improvement, automation, reporting, documentation, and operational support.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to strengthen problem-solving, operational, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to evaluate processes, define operational requirements, and optimize end-to-end workflows.
  • Partner with Product and Development to identify operational gaps and determine opportunities for longer-term system solutions.
  • Document and communicate standardized workflows and automation solutions to support consistency, adoption, and knowledge sharing.
  • Establish and monitor controls to maintain workflow accuracy, compliance, and quality.
  • Lead audits and assessments of existing workflows and automation solutions to identify risks, gaps, unintended outcomes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate automation tools and solution approaches, balancing business value, scalability, effort, and risk to determine the appropriate path forward.
  • Contribute to operational leadership by guiding strategic priorities and supporting organizational goals.
What you'll bring to Zotec:
  • Five or more years of experience in operational excellence, workflow optimization, process automation, business process improvement, analytics, healthcare revenue cycle, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing workflow or automation solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, scalability, revenue, or cost performance.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations and the interaction between operational processes, technology, payer requirements, and system workflows preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, process re-engineering, root-cause analysis, or comparable continuous-improvement methodologies.
  • Strong data-analysis skills, including the ability to translate operational data into findings, recommendations, and measurable process improvements.
  • Experience developing test plans, validating solutions, managing exceptions, and establishing quality-control measures.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases with the ability to effectively partner with technical teams.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technical and operational professionals with varying skill sets and levels of experience.
  • Experience partnering across Operations, Product, Technology, Finance, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project-management skills, including requirements gathering, prioritization, implementation planning, risk management, and performance tracking.
  • Ability to document processes, business and technical requirements, controls, and standard operating procedures clearly and consistently.
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate root causes and determine when automation, Product functionality, process change, or another solution is appropriate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex operational and technical concepts for both operational teams and senior leaders.
