Job description

Master Halco: Fence & Deck Supply, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fence and deck products is seeking an experienced Operations Efficiency Specialist.

The Operations Efficiency Specialist (OES) provides administrative, analytical, and coordination support for operations efficiency programs and continuous improvement initiatives. Partnering with associates across departments and external vendors, the OES helps align efforts to company priorities, supports consistent execution in the branches, and enables branch sales and operations teams to focus more time on sales activities and profit generation.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide analytical, administrative, and coordination support for operations efficiency programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize operational data and performance metrics; develop reports/dashboards and present insights and recommendations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities that support branch operations (e.g., operational programs, equipment/asset-related initiatives, Infor Help, and process rollouts) by managing communications, schedules, and issue tracking.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and status tracking for assigned programs, requests, and approvals.
  • Support compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and internal controls by assisting with documentation, follow-up, and corrective action tracking.
  • Develop and distribute training materials, job aids, and communications to support consistent execution and adoption of operational best practices.
  • Monitor progress, risks, and issues across initiatives; maintain action logs and escalate concerns to the Operations Efficiency Manager as needed.
  • Perform other operational support and improvement tasks as assigned.

Required Education and Experience 

  • Exceptional collaboration, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or associate’s degree, two-year college, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 2–5 years in operations support, analytics, process improvement, or administrative operations role. 
  • Computer Skills: MS Office Suite and ability to learn software tools. 
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or structured improvement methodologies is a plus.

Work Environment: Office setting and occasional field travel.

Physical Demands: This job requires the ability to sit, climb, stand, lift and/or move.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. This position at times requires long hours.

Travel: The position requires occasional overnight travel.
