The National Business Development Manager (NBDM) focuses on national sales for large clients. The National Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business development and revenue growth for Source1 National Accounts through both direct and distributor sales efforts.
The role involves evaluating and managing a pipeline of leads generated through cold calling, Best Western internal referrals, distributor referrals, as well as strategic campaigns and trade show events. The NBDM oversees the full sales cycle for new prospective Source1 members, ensuring a seamless transition from initial engagement through onboarding and ultimately into a revenue-generating customer.

Your impact:
  • Achieve segment sales targets and accomplish shared company-wide objectives.
  • Contribute to the growth of Best Western locations and Source1 Purchasing growth efforts through successful large account direct-selling efforts, including but not limited to the activities of prospecting, cold calling, presenting, closing, and managing sales funnels.
  • Work with the national account regional managers to foster leads, and close business in partnership with the national client.
  • Utilize Salesforce customer relationship management system (CRM) for managing sales funnels, tracking activities and appointments, and accessing key performance indicator (KPI) reports.
  • Exhibit a clear understanding of the following:
    • Source1 Purchasing programs, including Best Western, solutions, and benefits as it relates to providing relevant strategic solutions to all direct selling prospects and locations within assigned national accounts.
  • Source1 Purchasing activation processes as it relates to the transition of a Source1 Purchasing prospect into an active Source1 Purchasing customer.

About you:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred
  • 2-3 years related experience and/or training in hospitality sales, specifically focused on hotels
  • Outstanding process and project management skills
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Access, Advanced skills in Excel preferred
  • Capability to learn the CRM system Salesforce
  • Ability to travel 50-60%
