You will be based in our office in Seoul, South Koreaand will be working closely together with ourengineering teams across the region and with the global delivery teams in Europe.

Areas of accountability:AsLead Structural Engineer, your main assignment will be tosupport execution ofmajorWTG and OSS foundationdesign projectsintheAPACRegionand to supportthe continueddevelopmentof ourbusinessin South Korea.

In your role you will:

  • Be themainclient contactforStructural Engineeringtechnicalqueriesin South Koreaand providetechnicalleadership foroffshore windprojectsacross APAC.
  • Work closelytogetherwith ourHead of APAC and our Country Manager in South Korea to build andmaintaintrustingclient relationsandto promote our offshore wind business service offering.You will play a part in developing our strong network in the industry.
  • Develop and support structural teams across our offices inAPACwith the aimtoestablishindependent centres of excellence fordesign ofoffshorefoundationstructures.
  • Supporttechnicalintegration across disciplinesduringbothproject executionand in the tenderingphaseas part ofour global delivery team
  • Work closely withengineeringteams, engaging in technical topics and key design decision making.
  • Support senior management in WT and be a role model fordelivering integrated services aligned with the project context and the needs and expectations of the client.

The primary work location willin Seoul, South Korea, with the opportunity to spend aportionof your week working from home. Youshouldexpect some travelling in relation to your work.

Your background:

Thriving in an international environment, with a strong drive to deliver andimprove, you will take the initiative and responsibility for the variety of assignments Wood Thilsted can offer. Motivated by creating excellent results through teamwork, you will havestrong communicationand interpersonal skills, be fluent in English, and use these to liaise with clients and other consultants effectively.

You have10+ years of experiencewith designof foundations foroffshore wind with international clients. Preferablyyou have experience with detailed design of both monopilesand jacketstructures.

Furthermore, it is an advantage if youhave:

  • Adegree(MSc or PhD)in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldrelevant for offshore wind.
  • Broadtechnicalknowledgeofsector-specific engineering challengesin the APAC Region.
  • Proven experience in offshore wind design services as an Owner's Engineer, Technical AdvisororEPC designer.
  • Solidunderstanding of commercial and financial issues in the winning and execution of professional servicesprojects.
  • Track recordof senior stakeholder engagementand client relationship management.
  • Very strongdecision-making skills and judgement capabilities to balance and prioritise competing requirements.
  • A well-organised mindset, which can adapt to the dynamic needs of a high-growth company.
  • Fluent English skills.Proficiency in Korean would be considered an advantagebut is not arequirement.
