Job description

The Role: The Sports Business Development Coordinator's primary purpose is to support the sales and services efforts that drive incremental hotel room nights through group bookings in the sports market by coordinating internal sales processes, client-facing activities, and departmental operations in alignment with the LVCVA's mission. What You'll Do: Keep in mind that this list is not all-inclusive. Departmental Operations Serve as primary CRM resource, including maintaining accurate records, tracking activity, and ensuring timely and complete documentation.

Coordinate lead responses, bid proposals, and related materials for active opportunities. Prepare and maintain accurate proposals, reports, and other client-facing documents. Client and Event Activity Coordinate site visits, fam tours, client travel, and logistics.

Coordinate client meetings and events in Las Vegas and in external markets, as needed. Manage timelines, details, and follow-through to support high-quality client experiences. Internal Collaboration Coordinate to advance opportunities and departmental goals.

Serve as a point of coordination across internal teams on priority projects and initiatives. Develop, document, and maintain workflows and SOPs for consistency and responsiveness. Handle scheduling, correspondence, procurement, and other assigned duties.

What We're Looking For: High school diploma (or equivalent) required; additional education in tourism, hospitality, event planning, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two years of relevant administrative, coordination, or project management experience required. Demonstrated background in sales support, CRM management, proposal development, or related business development functions.

Familiarity with client hosting, site visits, familiarization tours, event coordination, or similar logistical support preferred. Exceptional attention to detail, with a high standard for precision and accuracy in records, reports, proposals, and client-facing materials. Proven time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.

Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, destination partners, internal teams, and co-workers while coordinating internal processes and supporting polished external execution. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard business software; ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel on a limited basis. Ability to travel when necessary, and able to work outside of regular business hours.
