Business Development Representative
Virtual Peaker is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) that will help solve the climate crisis by supporting our mission of building the utility of the future.
Job Description
As the BDR you will be responsible for engaging with prospects to qualify potential customers for our Account Executive team. This position is ideal for someone looking to enter a business development or sales role at a rapidly growing B2B startup doing big things.
Role Responsibilities
  • Develop a working knowledge of the utility industry, including DERs, DERMS, demand response, and decarbonization
  • Research and identify organizations that align with Virtual Peaker's ideal customer profile
  • Plan, execute, and iterate on multi-channel outbound campaigns
  • Engage and qualify inbound leads and outbound prospects
  • Effectively partner and work across the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Support Marketing events through outreach and attendance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within CRM and adjacent tools
  • Other duties as assigned that contribute to Virtual Peaker's success

Qualifications
An ideal candidate will have some combination of the following:
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
  • 2+ years of sales/business development experience preferred

  • Business-to-business communication and prospecting skills

  • Research, organizational, and time-management skills
