What you'll bring to the team
The Learning & Development Manager (North America) leads the rollout and delivery of Merlin's leadership and capability programs across the region. Partnering closely with global learning teams and attraction leaders, this role ensures programs are engaging, effectively localized, and embedded into daily operations through both virtual and in-person delivery. The role also champions Merlin's leadership behaviors and values, helping create a culture where learning is consistently applied, experienced, and sustained across North America.
This position will require frequent travel.
Qualifications & Experience
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and deliver global learning programs across North America, including Management Fundamentals, PowerSkills, and Supercharged Sales through both virtual and in-person facilitation
  • Facilitate engaging, high-impact learning experiences that encourage participation, reflection, and real-world application while maintaining global standards
  • Bring Merlin's leadership behaviors and values to life through facilitation and day-to-day interactions
  • Support the design of world-class learning solutions that create memorable and impactful learner experiences
  • Support the rollout and embedding of global frameworks and programs across North America attractions
  • Partner with attraction teams to ensure learning translates into measurable behavior change and improved business performance
  • Localize global learning content to align with North America operations, priorities, and challenges
  • Collaborate with the North America People Hub to align people processes and policies with development programs
  • Identify business and operational needs to support the design and delivery of commercially relevant learning solutions
  • Support the design, delivery, and localization of onboarding programs, including Extraordinary Beginnings
  • Oversee mandatory training initiatives and support local teams in effective execution through learning platforms
  • Partner with LEGOLAND California, Florida, New York, and Gateway attractions to coordinate regional learning delivery
  • Work with People Partners and site leaders to plan, schedule, and execute learning programs and initiatives
  • Support the organization and delivery of regional learning events and global capability initiatives aligned to North America time zones
  • Coordinate logistics, facilitation, and learner experience for virtual and in-person sessions
  • Track participation, engagement, feedback, and KPIs to measure program effectiveness and support continuous improvement
  • Assess how leadership behaviors and values are demonstrated through learning and operational practice
  • Own quarterly learning reporting and contribute to Group Capability reporting requirements
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders while balancing local operational needs with global priorities

Experience and Qualification:
  • Seasoned learning professional with 5 years plus of experience in L&D functions
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver multi-format learning solutions
  • Deep expertise and experience in each part of the learning cycle
  • Strong facilitation skills, with extensive experience of in-person and virtual delivery
  • Awareness of digital design principles
  • Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders with competing demands
  • Demonstrated success in running large-scale learning initiatives and delivering programs in high volume classrooms
