What you will do

The Customer Development Manager owns the development of customer strategy and execution plans to drive Kenvue sales, while leading and developing broker representatives to support and deliver against those objectives across assigned accounts. This role develops strategies and executes tactics that align with customer initiatives to deliver shipment forecast, consumption, and share goals. The person in this role collaborates with both internal and external partners, including broker teams, to devise mutually profitable business plans that can be effectively executed. He/she develops and maintains relationships at the customer level to drive growth through key category platforms and initiatives. He/she is responsible for new item execution, including speed-to-market targets, shipment forecasts, and consumption goals within the assigned area. The manager oversees trade funds within budget, analyzes promotional spending to maximize ROI, and participates in special projects as assigned. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement 4P's (product, placement, promotion and pricing) business tactics that align with brand strategies and meet customer needs.

  • Lead and develop broker representatives to drive Kenvue sales, execution, and customer-specific strategies across assigned accounts.

  • Manage trade budget across total portfolio including Lynx, returns, displays and other promotional efforts.

  • Achieve forecast accuracy by working with CPFR partners.

  • Troubleshoot orders, provide status to customers, and seek to resolve all logistical issues and challenges.

  • Collaborate with finance, supply chain, brand and sales strategy trade customization to align efforts and tactics with customer(s).

  • Act in the role of primary point of contact for a category or categories with the customer and meet frequently with buyers to discuss tactical matters such as progress to goals, promotional initiatives, issues and competitive threats.

  • Execute new product launches and provide promotional materials appropriate for assigned customer(s).

  • Conduct analysis to assess effectiveness of promotional activities and strategies

  • Monitor key metrics to measure progress to goals.

  • Utilize syndicated and customer data to incorporate into sales plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.

  • A minimum of 6 years of direct selling or related experience.

  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex business data.

  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships.

  • Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, complex matrix environment.

  • Up to 25% of travel

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$124,100.00 - $175,200.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
