The Director, Sales Training is responsible for designing, developing, and executing a comprehensive sales training strategy for both Residential and Business Sales teams, including Inside Sales, Field Sales, and SMB. This role will ensure alignment with business objectives, drive performance improvement, and support revenue growth. The Director will lead a team of training professionals and work closely with key stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and Learning & Development to develop and implement training programs that enhance sales effectiveness, customer engagement, and product knowledge. 

What you will do to contribute to the company's success 

  • Develop and Lead Sales Training Strategy: Create and implement a structured sales training program that supports all Residential and Business sales teams, ensuring alignment with company sales goals. 

  • Design and Implement Training Programs: Oversee the development of high-impact training programs, including onboarding, continuous learning, coaching, and leadership development for sales professionals. 

  • Collaborate with Sales and Business Leaders: Partner with key stakeholders, including Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure training programs address business priorities and performance gaps. 

  • Build and Lead a Sales Training Team: Hire, mentor, and manage a team of sales trainers, instructional designers, and training coordinators to deliver best-in-class learning experiences. 

  • Utilize Data-Driven Insights: Develop and implement training metrics and assessments to measure program effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement. Leverage analytics to adjust strategies as needed. 

  • Implement Coaching and Reinforcement Strategies: Establish a sales coaching framework that supports ongoing skill development and performance enhancement. 

  • Support Product and System Training: Ensure sales teams have the necessary training on products, services, CRM tools, and other sales technologies to maximize productivity and customer engagement. 

  • Drive Engagement and Adoption: Foster a culture of continuous learning by developing engaging content, leveraging modern learning technologies, and promoting innovative training methods (e.g., virtual learning, gamification, role-playing). 

  • Lead the Execution of the Multi-Year Sales Training Roadmap: Align training initiatives with the broader learning strategy and corporate goals, ensuring scalability as the company grows. 

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Learning & Development, or a related field 

  • Master’s degree preferred. 

  • 7+ years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or learning & development, with a strong background in Residential and Business Sales environments. 

  • 5+ years of leadership experience, managing and developing teams. 

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing sales training programs that drive performance improvements. 

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, SPIN, Consultative Selling). 

  • Experience with learning technologies, including LMS platforms, virtual training tools, and analytics dashboards. 

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry or similar subscription-based sales environments. 

  • Certification in sales methodologies, coaching, or instructional design. 

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
