Security Properties has an opening for an IT Manager!

About Us

Since its formation in 1969, Security Properties and its partners have invested over $2.0 billion of equity in multifamily real estate, representing a portfolio value of nearly $6.0 billion. Security Properties believes in proactive communication with partners, lenders and employees, and invests heavily in the training of its people to ensure the longevity of our business relationships.

Great Opportunity

The IT Manager owns the day-to-day management, security, and optimization of Security Properties' IT infrastructure, ensuring team members have reliable, compliant, and high-performing systems. The IT Manager develops and maintains corporate IT policies, systems, and documentation, and serves as the primary point of accountability for our Managed Service Provider (MSP) relationship. This role works cross-functionally to align technology with the firm's strategic objectives.

The base salary for this position is between $135,000 - $145,000 annually.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain core infrastructure spanning on-premises Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and end-user computing.
  • Plan and execute IT projects and rollouts, including infrastructure migrations and system upgrades.
  • Manage software licensing, SaaS subscriptions, and vendor relationships to optimize cost and performance.
  • Manage user account lifecycle, permissions, and access rights across hybrid identity systems.
  • Configure, deploy, and support workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and conference room equipment.
  • Analyze performance metrics and capacity trends to proactively identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain IT roadmaps aligned with the firm's growth and operational goals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Security Properties and our Managed Service Provider.
  • Hold the MSP accountable to SLAs; review ticket volume, resolution quality, and escalations.
  • Coordinate scope, change requests, and project handoffs between SP-owned and MSP-owned work.
  • Assess and manage third-party vendor risk from an IT and data-security perspective.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and a knowledge base covering core systems and recurring procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software licenses, and system configurations.
  • Document change management processes and maintain change logs for production systems.
  • Own the IT security roadmap in partnership with the MSP, evaluating and recommending improvements.
  • Manage endpoint protection, email security, MFA, and identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Oversee security awareness program outcomes and partner with the MSP on remediation for at-risk users.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency administering Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive and Intune).
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Self-directed, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification preferred.
  • Preferred experience evaluating and piloting emerging technologies, including AI tools.
  • Preferred experience with Azure infrastructure and cloud cost management, preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on IT management or systems administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid identity, including on-premises Active Directory and Entra AD.
  • Experience managing or coordinating with a Managed Service Provider.
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools (endpoint protection, email security, MFA/IAM).

Amazing Benefits

  • 401(k) matching.
  • Tuition Reimbursement.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.
  • Bonus opportunities.

Why You Should Apply
