Title:

Human Systems Integration Specialist

Program Summary:

Job Summary:

KBR, is currently recruiting a Human Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our customer, Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics - Army (PM IS&A).

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the government in acquiring new solutions in the Human Systems Integration (HSI) domain by writing technical requirements, user stories, interoperability exchanges, test plans, and test data needed to fully realize intelligence modernization.
  • Perform front-end analysis and experimental work when developing a new system.
  • Define the architecture, workflow, information and interaction designs for new and current systems.
  • Investigate existing deployed systems for potential upgrades or more intensive HSI review.
  • Conduct mission, task, and function analyses of military C4ISR systems at a level of detail suitable for alternative design decisions.
  • Plan, conduct, and interpret user needs/requirements analysis using interviews, surveys, performance testing, and lessons learned data.
  • Prepare usability metrics, execute usability assessments and analysis, and utilize other user feedback mechanisms to inform program priorities and acquisition strategies in accordance with Army Regulations.
  • Provide user engagement strategies, collated results from user engagements, and requirements derived from user experiences.
  • Conduct safety and human error analyses using fault trees, event trees, and root-cause analyses.
  • Complete job/task analyses, training systems requirements analyses, and training systems designs including embedded training systems.
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen. Active Top Secret w/SCI Required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Systems/Human Factors Engineering/Human Computer Interaction/psychology or related degree.
  • At least ten (10) years' related work experience is required.
  • An additional four (4) years of direct work experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
  • Experience supporting product manager team(s) from requirements through sustainment with evaluating and providing suggestions for the seven domains of HSI (human factors engineer, manpower, personnel capabilities, training, habitability, safety and occupational health, and force protection and survivability).
  • Direct experience with application of User-Centered Design principles and methods for new or developing systems across a complex program portfolio.

Travel:

Less than 30% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment:

This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.

  • Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a fulltime position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Compensation:

Salary range: $111,980.00 - $167,970.00. The salary range posted is for Maryland locations. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
