The Inside Technical Sales & Service Representative provides application expertise, quotations, support and effective configurations for assigned products. The TSR's primary focus is supporting the technical commercialization of QED's highly technical products, being the customer advocate when issues arise to resolve them quickly and efficiently. The TSR is an inside, office-based role working closely with account managers, Marketing team, engineering, distributors and end users.


Essential Duties:

  • Fields incoming emails and phone calls as the first level of contact with QED

  • Provide support to customers for product-related enquiries, including answering technical questions and produces literature fulfilment requests

  • Review and process orders received from customers, including design of proposals initiated by customers or the field sales team

  • Ensures that all pertinent sales information (i.e. competitors involved, bidding job or already inhouse, important buying factors etc) is understood prior to finalizing proposals

  • Process and respond to customer enquiries, deductions, requirements, complaints, and other needs

  • Function as a resource to other customer service personal and other departments

  • Conduct one-on-one product and procedure training within the work team and serve as a mentor

  • Expected to handle special projects on an as needed basis

  • Interface with other departments to expedite product to meet customer requirements


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a technical engineering or sales support role

  • Experience in environmental sciences and manufacturing preferred

  • Previous technical sales/service experience 2+ years

  • Practical experience and knowledge of computers (Cisco, MS365 and SF are a plus)

  • Technical and sales aptitude

  • Must be self-starter with the ability to work well with others

  • Ability to work with little supervision to meet scheduled deadlines

  • Effective communication skills - written, oral and presentation

  • High sense of accountability and commitment

  • Work effectively in a team environment

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
