Can you make $500,000 a year in sales?

Inside sales manufacturing roles typically do not reach $500,000 in annual sales revenue for individual employees, as earnings are often based on commissions, bonuses, and base salary. High performers in sales management or executive positions may achieve such income levels, but it is uncommon for entry- or mid-level inside sales roles. Success depends on industry, product value, sales skills, and company compensation structures.

What is the difference between SDR and ISR?

Inside Sales Manufacturing roles often include Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs). SDRs primarily focus on prospecting, lead qualification, and setting appointments, while ISRs handle the sales process, negotiate deals, and close sales with qualified leads. Both roles require strong communication skills and familiarity with CRM tools, but SDRs are more outbound-focused, and ISRs are more involved in closing sales.
