Now in our fourth generation of family leadership, we're continuing to grow our brand and are looking for an Inside Sales Representative / Customer Service professional to join our team.
This isn't a typical inside sales position filled with cold calls and one-time transactions. You'll work with many of the same customers every day, building long-term relationships with lumber yards and building supply dealers, who rely on your knowledge and service. Over time, you'll become a trusted resource and respected expert in our specialty building materials.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with an established base of wholesale customers
  • Process orders, provide pricing and quotations, and ensure accurate order entry
  • Handle incoming customer calls and emails with professionalism and urgency
  • Become knowledgeable about our products and industry to provide expert guidance and recommendations
  • Investigate customer concerns, order issues, and product questions to find effective solutions
  • Collaborate with our Outside Sales Team, Operations, and Warehouse departments to ensure exceptional customer experiences
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and promotional programs
  • Deliver a level of service that keeps customers returning year after year

What We're Looking For

  • Previous customer service, inside sales, account management, or call center experience
  • Building materials, lumber, construction, or related industry knowledge strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a professional phone presence
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic math skills for pricing and quoting
  • Ability to learn technical product information and communicate it confidently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Logistics or supply chain experience is a plus
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
