Job description

International Inside Sales Representative

The International Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing premier customer service to all current and potential customers from the point of initial contact through delivery of the product. The International Inside Sales Representative must also achieve sales and profit goals established by the management team at Corrosion Materials Houston Branch (CMI).

Responsibilities and Duties

As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Inside Sales Representative. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.

  • Increase sales and provide support for current customer base as assigned.
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, and sales contracts.
  • Promptly respond to Request for Quotes for current and potential customers. Overall goal is no later than 24 hours per RFQ.
  • Coordinate workflow with company staff to achieve closing of sales quotes.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals set by the General Manager, i.e., dollars booked and calls per day.
  • Proactively review open orders and advise customers of delivery status changes.
  • Provide technical assistance and solutions for customer returns.
  • Manage account services through follow-up and quality checks.
  • Develop and maintain existing product knowledge and sales materials.
  • Formulate analysis of sales data to assist in establishing specific account pricing.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with other Inside Sales Representatives, Field Sales Representatives, management, and other co-workers.
  • Prepare and present various sales status reports to Inside Sales Manager weekly that includes activity, follow-up, closing, and adherence to targets.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Two or more years of international sales experience

Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Marketing experience, ensuring ability to recognize opportunities

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills

Ability to effectively multi-task and work independently on assigned tasks

Excellent attention to detail and ability to transfer data accurately

Strong work ethic; self-motivated

Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related area

Four or more years of experience in sales and marketing
