ZIEHL-ABEGG is looking for a high energy and results-oriented Human Resources Generalist who can be a strong contributor to our heavily expanding company. The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting the HR Department in all areas of the human resources field. This role is responsible for, but not limited to administrative duties, compliance tracking and training, compensation, training and development, apprentice program, employee engagement activities, benefits, and labor laws.
Human Resources Generalist
Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Track and manage FMLA and ADA process (understand laws, documentation, and manage the certification and recertification process)
  • Own the offboarding process (meeting with Supervisors and Managers, performance reviews, exit interviews etc.)
  • Support and assist in organizing training and development
  • Consults with management providing HR guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, performance plans, etc.)
  • Supports investigations or conflict resolution issues, ethics complaints, and other employee relations issues
  • Support Environmental Health & Safety
  • Track and audit time & attendance
  • Administer and support open enrollment (support the preparation of materials, communication, and presenting information)
  • Administer all leave related topics (such as FMLA, leave of absence, and Worker's Compensation)
  • Organize and run employee engagement activities
  • Organize and maintain personnel records and update internal databases
  • Participate in HR projects and other projects as assigned (i.e. support with staffing needs)
  • Partners with recruiting acting as back-up and working to identify and retain high quality talent.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Support International constituents, as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as an HR Generalist, HR Specialist, or relevant role (3 years minimum)
  • Thorough HR knowledge, especially in benefit and US law related questions
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and HRIS system)
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical Evaluation of situations and documents
  • Dependable, discrete, and confidential
  • Ability to work with others and drive results.
  • Problem Solving Skills
